Having garnered a decade of experience working with the best in the business in his native Malaysia, Sean was hungry for more. Melbourne offered a different way of life. A whole new clientele and the tantalizing thrill of a new challenge.
Drawing from his previous role as a Wella Technical Consultant and his additional years navigating the trendy Melbournian hair scene, Sean finally realized his dream of branching out on his own. The Artist Room opened it’s doors to the public on December 2016
Sean embraced the “Creative Director / Resident Artist” moniker head on. From its induction, he saw the potential to market the brand for what it was: The Artist Room was a room celebrating artistry in hair form. Sean’s creative calling was recreating precision cutting and reintroducing the art of The Cut to the masses.
